Meet the dedicated graduates who are instrumental in making the VASJ Young Alumni Association happen! Our committee chairs and co-chairs work closely with the VASJ Alumni Office to find ways to engage and inspire their peers to become leaders, serve as mentors to students and each other, and remain connected to their alma mater in collaborative and meaningful ways.

Since graduating from VASJ, I have obtained two degrees: My undergraduate degree in public leadership, management and policy from The Ohio State University as well as my graduate degree in education from Cleveland State University. I live in the Gordon Square area with my husband, Josh, and our dog, Nala. I am now a teacher at a fellow Ursuline school, Beaumont, in Cleveland Heights.
I am so excited to be a part of the Young Alumni Association. VASJ gave so much to me, now it's my turn to give back. I can't wait to watch the program expand with our diverse group of young alums!
Erin Osborne '18
Co-Chair, Development Committee
Since graduating from VASJ in 2018, I have been attending Bowling Green State University. I am a senior majoring in adolescence to young adult education (grades 7-12) integrated social studies. During the summer, I work as a fourth grade girls camp counselor and work at Martin’s Freeze in Euclid. During the school year, I work as a desk clerk for one of the dorms on BGSU’s campus. The reason I am coming on board as co-chair of development for the YAA is because I believe that the VASJ alumni base is something special. I believe the YAA will be able to develop long-lasting relationships with young alumni who may “drift” away during their college years. VASJ is a special place where everyone always wants the best for one another, whether one has graduated or not, and our group will not only give back to the school community and students who are attending there now but also get them ready for the world outside of VASJ. I am proud to say I attended VASJ. I would not be who I am and where I am if it was not for this school — the community of teachers, staff and students has a bond like no other. As the saying goes, this is a place where “friends become family,” and I am honored and proud to be joining the YAA!

Chair, Service & Leadership Committee
Greetings! My name is Carlie Beard and I am a proud graduate of Villa-Angela St. Joseph High School Class of 2016! After graduation, I went on to receive my bachelor's degree in journalism from Hampton University. Currently, I am a second-year graduate student pursuing my master's degree in Fashion Industry Studies at Kent State University. I am so excited to be a part of YAA because I am ready to give back to a place and community that has given so much to me. It is my hope that through the YAA, we are able to connect young alumni, serve our community and help continue to build future leaders of tomorrow!
David Paus '17
Co-Chair, Service & Leadership Committee
Hello, everyone! My name is David Paus and I am an alum of the VASJ Class of 2017. Since graduating, I spent four years as an undergraduate of Hiram College where I had earned my degree in Educational Studies with minors in Sport Management and Communication. I was also a four-year varsity baseball player for the Terriers. Currently, I am in graduate school at Notre Dame College where I am pursuing my Master’s Degree in Business Administration. I am also a graduate assistant coach for the NDC baseball team. I am truly excited to be joining the YAA! VASJ had given me so much and I am truly thankful to be where I am today because of my alma mater. I want to connect with other young alumni about potential opportunities that we can put forth within this organization. Never forget where you came from and VASJ is and will always be my home.
Patrick Bradford '19
Chair, Events & Engagement Committee
A 2019 graduate of Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School, I currently attend The Ohio State University. In addition to double majoring in political science and strategic communications, I'm a member of the Politics, Society and Law Scholars and Morrill Scholars programs, respectively. Regarding my role as an alum, I strive to be an agent for change that benefits VASJ, its alumni and the student body. Currently, I am a member of the VASJ Board of Advisors, where I serve as co-chair of the Advancement and Marketing Committee, in addition to serving on the newly formed Academic Excellence Committee. When I'm not studying or working with my alma mater, I assist my mother with her bakery. In addition to this, I enjoy photography and writing and often spend my downtime doing one or the other.
