June 5, 2018Dear, friends.
As the 2017-18 school year comes to a close, there is a sense of accomplishment and enthusiasm in the Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School community. I am delighted to report that we have enjoyed another successful year:- With a one hundred percent graduation rate of our 2017 graduates, we had ninety-eight percent enrolled in college. As our current seniors make their final decisions, we look forward to making a similar report this year.
- This year, VASJ saw the largest enrolling freshman class in quite some time and we are on track for yet another substantial increase this fall.
- The number of transfer students continues to rapidly rise as well. Clearly, more and more students and families are discovering the VASJ difference.
- Net proceeds from our major annual fundraising event, Continue the Dream, reached over $200,000 this year, making it one of the most successful fundraising events the school has had.
- Boys and girls athletic programs continue to be competitive, including a sixth consecutive year to the regional finals for boys basketball.
As we head into the home stretch of another great school year, I am reminded of how truly special our school is. After four years at VASJ, our students really understand and embrace the Ursuline and Marianist values and are prepared for leadership and service to make a difference in the world. However, for our students to be able to flourish, we must continue to provide the necessary tools and resources for success and WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
