VASJ’s Drama Club is set to hit the stage this April in their spring production of Way Out West in A Dress.
This musical tells the story of young actor Clarence
The production will be filled with hilarious characters, wild musical numbers, and puns galore.
The newest member of VASJ’s Drama Club, senior Dominic Blatnik, decided to participate in his one and only play, just months before graduation.
“I’ve never heard of this musical, but once I heard that it was a western type of theme I was all into doing it,” Dominic says. “I feel it’s a good way to end my senior year and to say in the future that I was the lead in the school musical.”
Members of VASJ’s Drama Club have been working hard to get students who wouldn’t usually think about joining drama club to be more involved in the program.
“I know it’s going to be tough since I also play baseball but I’m willing to do that,” says Dominic. “I’m looking forward to singing for the first time in front of an audience.”
VASJ productions are decided by a vote after seniors in the club have suggested ideas.
