Every year the VASJ senior class participates in a Rosary Prayer Service. Standing on the edges of the VASJ gymnasium, each senior student represents a bead on the rosary. Students take turns reciting prayers at the podium, rotating around the gym floor until the full rosary has been prayed.
This year’s prayer service on Oct. 1 celebrated the Glorious Mysteries. Each student placed a flower at the foot of Mary to represent their own personal prayer intention during the service.
Dominic Gideon, who is currently attending Saint Mary Seminary in Wickliffe, addressed our full student body at the beginning of the service to explain the significance of the rosary and the impact prayer can have on all of our lives.
Thank you to the VASJ senior class for their leadership, the Campus Ministry student leaders for their help with preparations, and all of our students, faculty and staff who joined us in prayer.
