VASJ prepares to honor veterans for Memorial Day

As Memorial Day draws closer, VASJ faculty, staff and students are preparing to honor veterans in a variety of ways.

Flag placement at All Souls Cemetery

Mr. Gary Minadeo '74, VASJ math chair/STEMU coordinator and retired Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S. Army, West Point '80, will once again be taking a group of students to All Souls Cemetery to decorate veteran graves with flags. If you know of a veterans' grave that should receive a flag, please email the plot location to Gary Minadeo at [email protected].

Alumni Veterans Memorial

VASJ is working on a monument to recognize the sacrifice of our alumni veterans killed in action. We are searching for the names of any alums from St. Joseph High School, Villa Angela Academy and VASJ who have died during combat. If you have a name to share, please email it to Jim Tobin at [email protected].
