VASJ hosts Opening School Mass

The Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School student body joined together the morning of Sept. 10 for the Opening School Mass. This annual Mass celebrates the start of the new school year and gives our students, faculty and staff a chance to join together in prayer.

We were pleased to welcome Fr. Joe Fortuna from Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Euclid to celebrate Mass with us. 

The theme for the 2024-25 school year is “My thoughts are my own.” This theme was selected by Campus Ministry's COR team leaders and was inspired by Isaiah 55: 8-9.

VASJ's Campus Ministry Department elaborated on this year's theme: "Our thoughts and habits are far different than what God has in mind for us. This year, we will be exploring how we can better align our thoughts with what God wants for us. While our thoughts are unique, and each of us holds our individuality, Christ is found in all of us!"
