VASJ celebrates Opening School Mass

The VASJ community gathered together on Friday, Sept. 3 for our Opening School Liturgy. We are so grateful to Bishop Roger Gries, OSB, who celebrated Mass with us.

The Mass focused on our theme for the school year, which is “GET UP.” Bishop Gries encouraged all of our students to get up, have courage and find their calling.



Five new Eucharistic ministers were also commissioned during the liturgy, including senior Abby Buzdon. Bishop Gries ended the Mass with a special blessing for our new faculty and staff members, including VASJ’s new president and principal, as they begin the school year.
