In recognition of his service to Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School, Richard Osborne ’69 was designated president emeritus by the VASJ Board of Advisors on March 8.
Board members presented Osborne with a framed certificate during a special dinner. Patrick Gliha ’03, VASJ board chair, said Osborne was given the title president emeritus due to his dedicated leadership to the school while serving as past president and former board chair, calling him a “true Viking.”
“VASJ is incredibly fortunate to have a long list of individuals who have consistently gone above and beyond for our school,” Gliha said. “We are even more fortunate to have Rich Osborne at the top of that list. Rich has set the bar high for all of us who follow and shown what it truly means to be a servant leader.”
VASJ President Thomas M. Carone added that being recognized as president emeritus is well-deserved for Osborne.
“Rich Osborne’s dedication to Catholic education over the years built the foundation of much of the success we are blessed with at VASJ,” Carone said.
