Patricia G. Egan has been named director of advancement at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School, effective Oct. 1.
Egan has been a leader in the fundraising community for more than 25 years, successfully leading fundraising teams, developing strategic plans, conducting feasibility studies, implementing capital campaigns and more. She most recently served as director of development at Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio. Prior to that position, Egan was appointed director of development for major gifts at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
“It is truly a blessing to add Pat to our team,” said VASJ president Richard Osborne ’69. “Her expertise and commitment to Catholic education will enable us to move the school even further forward. With her help, VASJ continues to strengthen its position in the community we serve.”
Egan is principal and founder of Beyond Fundraising, LLC, where she counsels small nonprofits in fundraising as well as strategic planning and campaign management. She currently teaches a Fundraising for the Arts course at Baldwin-Wallace University.
“I believe that education is the key to success, so I am delighted to be part of a school that supports students in so many ways — spiritually, academically and socially,” Egan said. “The team here is passionate and dedicated, and we’re going to continue to make a difference together.”
Egan was awarded an MBA in marketing administration from Cleveland State University and became a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) in 1996. She served as president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Greater Cleveland Chapter, which named her an Outstanding Fundraising Executive in 2011, as well as a member of the AFP International Foundation Board. Egan is also a graduate of Leadership Lorain Class of 2002, where she served on the board as a member and chair.
Egan resides in Bay Village with her golden retriever, Lucy. She is the proud mother of two children and a grandmother of five.
