With a rich history and an extensive alumni network, VASJ has thousands of success stories of graduates who have gone on to do great things. What makes it even better is when our current students are given the opportunity to meet fellow Vikings and hear about their successes.
Last weekend a group of junior and senior members of Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School’s Marianist Urban Student Program (MUSProgram) had the chance to do just that.
Along with Tim Neary ’03, Director of MUSP, VASJ's MUSP students traveled to the University of Dayton for a college visit. In addition to touring the college and attending a UD Flyers basketball game, they had the opportunity to sit down with VASJ and MUSP alumnus Jimmy McLeod '06.
After graduating from VASJ, Jimmy went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and recently graduated with his master’s degree in higher education from Loyola University. Jimmy is now the Assistant Director of Greek Life and Leadership Programs at UD.
VASJ students asked Jimmy important questions about what the MUSProgram meant to him and what struggles and opportunities they should prepare for as they transition from high school to college.
After their college visit was complete, the group stopped at The United States Air Force Museum located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base before heading back to Cleveland.
