Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School is pleased to announce that Erin Maher ’16 has been named the new Campus Minister at the school.
“I have loved being able to help students grow and build relationships in the classroom for the last two years, but I know God is calling me elsewhere,” Maher said. “I am blessed to have this opportunity, especially in a school that means as much to me as VASJ."
Maher, who graduated from Ursuline College in 2020, will oversee the Campus Ministry Department at VASJ, planning liturgies, retreats, service projects, community engagement opportunities and more for students. She will also continue to teach Theology classes at the school.
“Erin will continue the growth of our established Campus Ministry programming here in the Viking Village, and she is excited to put her ideas into action,” said VASJ Principal Lorenzo Jones.
Maher replaces Brianna Mejak, who was asked to take on the role of Director of Campus Ministry in 2019. Mejak began teaching and assisting with Campus Ministry programs at VASJ in 2016.
“It has been a joy and a blessing to serve at VASJ these last seven years,” Mejak said. “I am truly grateful for those who mentored me along the way and those who I had the opportunity to work beside. The Campus Ministry Department has grown so much, and I am excited to see the direction it takes under Erin Maher's leadership.”
