March 11, 2025Our indoor track team had a great showing at the D3 Indoor State Championship meet on Friday, March 7!
The men's team finished fourth in the state, with five events placing in the top 8. The day started out with Joseph Efford '26 placing 3rd overall in the high jump with a personal record jump of 6'1". Darion Taylor '25 kept the momentum going, placing 7th overall in the long jump with a jump of 20'5".
The men's 4x200 team, composed of Da'Vion Taylor '25, Darion Taylor '25, Caleb Marshall '25 and John Gibson '26, placed 3rd overall with a time of 1:31.04. Gibson '26 finished 5th overall in the open 200m dash with a time of 22.71 seconds. The 4x400 team (Gibson, Taylor, Marshall, Taylor) finished out the day with a 3rd place finish and a time of 3:28.03.
Da'Vion Taylor in the open 400m and the 4x800 team, composed of Moses Thompson '25, Momo Pelima '25, Jake Ericksen '26 and Caleb Marshall '25, also competed at the indoor state meet on the men's side.
The women's 4x400 team, composed of Alyssa Mullins '27, Jailynna Lockett '27, Nadia Bell '28 and Taylor Bishop '27 had an 8-second personal record time of 4:22.12. These ladies also competed in the 4x200 relay.
