Where did you grow up while attending VASJ?
While attending VASJ, I lived in the Collinwood area. I always enjoyed swimming during the summer, and I participated in cheerleading with a Cleveland Muny League Football Team, the Sims Raiders.
Where did you go to school before VASJ?
Prior to VASJ, I attended St. Mary Collinwood, and after the closing of St. Mary, I completed my elementary education at St. Jerome.
Which teacher or class at VASJ do you remember most and why?
The teacher I remember the most is Miss Tonica Johnson. She was my freshman year homeroom teacher and an English teacher. Although we shared a love for literature, she was and still is an incredible mentor! She always expressed to us the importance of being kind, working hard and staying persistent.
Did you have a favorite spot to hang out and what did you like about it?
My favorite hangout place while attending VASJ was at the basketball games. It was a great place to socialize and meet new people, while cheering on our Vikings of course! I would only cheerlead during the football season because I enjoyed going to the basketball games so much!
What, if anything, about your experience at VASJ would you do over?
If I could redo one thing about my experience, I would relive the night I became the 25th VASJ Homecoming Queen! It was a super exciting moment for me and an honor to be selected by the student body for the position.
