VASJ's Grace Carlson '17 to compete in World Dance Competition

VASJ student Grace Carlson ’17 has been a member of Lakeshore Dance, Gymnastics and Cheer for 16 years -- now a senior at VASJ, she’s been dancing as long as she has been a student. 

Grace, along with the members of Senior Hip Hop Company swept the regional and national competitions and were awarded a "Golden Ticket" to compete in the World Dance Championships on Sunday, August 7, at the Meadowlands Expo Center in New Jersey.  

The invitation to compete in the World Dance Championships was unexpected and the highlight of the year for Grace and her teammates. Grace is looking forward to the experience of sharing the stage with dancers from across the world including Europe and Asia and seeing the different dance style and techniques.

"Money" is the name of the dance Grace’s team will perform and it's tentatively scheduled to go on stage at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 7.  The performance can be livestreamed at: http://www.nexstarcompetition.com/.
