Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School was excited to welcome students from the SRW Saints and Scholars Leadership Camp on July 12.
Campers had a full day of engaging activities at the Viking Village. They kicked off the morning by decorating rocks with words of empowerment, love and care to give to their family and friends. Our VASJ student athletic trainers led a hands-on instruction to teach campers lifesaving CPR techniques. During lunch, campers were treated to build-your-own fruit parfaits to promote healthy eating.
A special thank you to Laura Elizabeth Gray, who spoke to the campers and led them in activities. Laura is a mom, life coach, author and founder of IPride Foundation, a self-esteem and empowerment program for youth.
We were also very happy to welcome back recent VASJ graduates Sammy Turk, Johnathan Pitts and Maria Karboski! Sammy and Maria are SRW camp counselors this summer, while Johnathan came back to speak to the students about his high school experience and the importance of getting involved at school.
The Ss. Robert and William Leadership Camp teaches children critical skills needed to advance and become a well-rounded leader, preparing them for high school and beyond.
