VASJ students compete in Academic Challenge

Three of VASJ's Academic Challenge team's greatest minds competed on News Channel 5 against Wickliffe and Lutheran West. Together, Patrick Bradford, Desmond Norris, and John Michalski finished in second place and really made the Viking Village proud! All of the thanks goes to Tonica Johnson, who moderated and helped these students get to where there are now!

"I love trivia and have always tried to expand my horizons so naturally, I was instantly interested in representing VASJ on television in an academic
contest," says John Michalski. "Also, Miss Johnson is one of the most hardworking teachers I have ever seen! It's difficult to remember my favorite part of the club because I enjoyed every moment of it. Learning new information and being in the company of friends provide the best of both the academic and social worlds."
