A pair of Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School senior guards will participate in the annual News-Herald Classic all-star basketball games March 29 at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland.
The girls game tips off at 11 a.m., where Brijae Journee will play for the Blue Team coached by Mayfield's Tony Ware. Journee helped guide the Vikings to a Division IV Grand Valley district runner-up finish.
The boys game will tip off at approximately 1 p.m., where Deandre Forte will play for the Red Team coached by Mentor's Bob Krizancic. Forte was the sixth man on the VASJ team that recently finished as Division III state runner-up, falling to Lima Central Catholic by two points in the state championship game on March 22.
Both the girls game and the boys game features a 3-point shootout at halftime.
