VASJ has a handful of legacy football players whose fathers, uncles or grandfathers attended St. Joseph high school and also played football for long-time coach, John Storey ’59. WKYC came and spoke to these current and former football players about the traditions of the football program at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School and what it’s like to play football on the same field and for the same coach as their fathers, uncles and grandfathers.

Some of the students who will be featured are John and Jacob Di Donato with their father John Di Donato ’77, Jack and Ryan Gallagher with their father Patrick ’82, Kovas Kijauskas and his father Simas Kijauskas ’81, Paul Rini and his father Tony Rini ’82, Erin Williams Jr. and his father Erin Williams Sr. ’89.
