Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School is proud to announce the public phase of the Keeping Our Promises Campaign, the first-ever comprehensive campaign in the school’s history.
During the past two years, significant research and planning occurred to lay the foundation for key goals to strengthen VASJ as a school of choice and to secure its long-term future. This work culminated in the Keeping Our Promises Campaign, a $5.5 million initiative.
The campaign includes four main elements: Promise Scholarships, 21st-Century Learning Environments, Safe and Secure Entrances, and Energy-Efficient Windows and Upgraded Architecture. Each of these key initiatives has been calculated for minimum expense and maximum value.
To date, VASJ has raised 60% of its $5.5 million campaign goal during the quiet phase.
“Over the years, VASJ has been able to fulfill its promise of excellence in education in large part because of our rich tradition of donor generosity,” said VASJ president Richard Osborne ’69. “Support for this campaign will help us continue to fulfill our promise of excellence for generations to come.”
Serving others has always been at the heart of Villa Angela Academy, St. Joseph High School and VASJ. As the school celebrates its 30-year anniversary, VASJ looks toward the future as it continues to build a strong legacy on the shores of Lake Erie.
“The campaign has three major goals — to make a VASJ education affordable to all families, provide a state-of-the-art learning environment for our students and teachers, and continue to be a thriving landmark in the community,” said Vince White-Petteruti ’69, volunteer campaign director.
With a nod to the past, VASJ now focuses on keeping its promises to future generations. Through the Keeping Our Promises Campaign, VASJ will be able to continue to provide a quality, Catholic education and bring each student to a deeper understanding of the Ursuline and Marianist traditions that are woven throughout every aspect of student life and learning.
