Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School proudly welcomed top donors to its President's Reception in the VASJ Gymnasium on Wednesday, Sept. 13.
The annual event celebrates and thanks donors who have demonstrated leadership through their support of VASJ during the prior fiscal year. Guests enjoyed heavy appetizers, a carving station, a make-your-own pasta station, drinks and dessert.
VASJ Major Gift Officer Barb DiTurno '82 welcomed donors and introduced the evening's student speakers, VASJ seniors Asu Belima and Ariana Somich. Both students talked about their high school experiences at VASJ and the importance of a quality Catholic education.
VASJ President Tom Carone then shared a presentation with guests, highlighting major accomplishments over the last year such as increased enrollment, classroom updates, the cafeteria renovation, and the installation of the new turf athletic field.
Student ambassadors were on hand to lead donors on tours of the building, and guests also had the chance to shop some of the new merchandise in the VASJ Spirit Store. Each donor took home a special keychain, allowing them free admission to all home athletic games and drama productions at the school.
Thank you to our valued donors for making a difference for our amazing students and Viking community!
