Alex and Louis Vertosnik ’16 earned their Eagle Scout ranking in a ceremony at the end of September.
Eagle Scout is the highest advancement rank in Boy Scouts and something they were very proud to earn.
“It’s a big honor to earn such a thing,” says Alex.
Louis and Alex Vertosnik '16 recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
It is also prestigious. Only 7% of all Boy Scouts earn this ranking.
“It’s a pretty selective group,” Louis adds. “It’s pretty cool.”
They started their scouting journey in first grade as Cub Scouts. When they entered Boy Scouts at age 12, they knew their goal would be to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout.
It took a lot of self-motivation (and a little twins sibling rivalry) to achieve their goal but they did it. And they proudly wore their Boy Scout uniform to school the next day to celebrate.
Dan Gail, also a senior at VASJ and a member of the same troop (Euclid’s Pioneer Troop 161), earned his Eagle Scout ranking earlier this month. A total of five members of their troop earned Eagle Scout this month.
