The College of Business at Bowling Green State University announced that Janae Johnson, a 2017 graduate of VASJ, has been named to the highly selective Student Ambassador Program.
“We are pleased to accept Janae into the Student Ambassador Program,” commented BGSU Dean Ray Braun.
Janae has been a highly engaged student in the College of Business. She has made the Dean’s List each semester she has attended BGSU. During her first year, she was able to obtain an internship with Quicken Loans, located in Cleveland, Ohio. She has committed herself to extracurricular engagement through organizations such as the Undergraduate Student Government, National Association for Black Accountants, Residence Hall Council, and the Business District Learning Community.
Student Ambassadors represent the College of Business by engaging with prospective students, current students, and alumni. In preparation for their role, Student Ambassadors complete a course focused on presentation and networking skills.
“I am thrilled to be accepted into the Student Ambassador Program,” remarked Janae. “The College of Business is amazing, and I look forward to working with Dean Braun as a Student Ambassador.”
During her time at VASJ, Janae was Senior Class President, a Student Ambassador, and a member of the National Honors Society. She strived to excel academically by taking Honors and AP classes, which resulted in her graduating with honors.
"We love hearing news of our graduates’ successes,” says VASJ Principal Dave Csank. “Janae was a fantastic example of a true Viking student in every aspect. We are thrilled for her, but not surprised at all that she was chosen for this prestigious honor."
