VASJ students will be allowed to dress up in costume for Halloween next week! Please keep the following guidelines in mind when planning your costume:
Costumes must be appropriate (i.e., not too tight, too revealing, or too short) and not associated with any inappropriate themes. *Serial killer themes or ideas are strictly prohibited.
No weapons of any kind (toy or otherwise).
Do NOT arrive at school in street clothes; this will not be an acceptable costume.
No bare midriffs. Shirts must meet at your pants waist and enclose the armpit.
If you feel the need to wear tights, yoga pants, leggings or jeggings, your top must cover your bottom half. This applies to both boys and girls.
Masks are allowed, but may not be worn during instructional time.
Shoes must be closed-toed in style.
You are only permitted to wear jeans if it is an essential part of your costume. Your jeans may NOT be ripped, and if they are, they must have tights underneath.
No shirts with questionable insignia, gang-related themes, alcohol, drug substances, political statements, or violence are allowed.
We can't wait see everyone's costumes on Tuesday! Have a great weekend Vikings.
