March 16, 2013Congratulations to Babe Kwasniak '94 and the VASJ boys basketball team for winning the Division IV regional finals against Youngstown Christian and advancing to the state semifinals against Troy Christian on Friday, March 22, at 10:45 a.m. at the Schottenstein Center (click for map).
Wear your light blue to state for the Viking "blue out"
The basketball team is organizing a "light blue out" for all fans attending the game on Friday. A batch of light blue state championship shirts will be arriving in the bookstore Tuesday afternoon. The bookstore is open from 10-3:30 p.m. The cost of the t-shirts are $10.
An additional order of the light blue state championship t-shirts is being placed on Tuesday, March 19, at 2 p.m. Shirts are $10 each. Get your order to Debbe Fischbach by email at [email protected] or by phone at 216-481-8414 ext. 210 by 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 19, and your shirt will be delivered to the school tomorrow, Wednesday, March 20.
Payment of $10 cash or check will be due upon pickup of the shirt on Wednesday, March 20. An additional order will be placed on Wednesday for pickup on Thursday.
We hope to see all fans in the Viking stands wearing blue.
TICKET INFORMATION:
All pre-sale tickets are $8 each and will be sold at VASJ Monday-Thursday. Adult tickets are pre-assigned and the seating is reserved so if you have a group that wants to sit together, you must know the number in your party before purchasing tickets. The student section is general admission with open seating.
Ticket Sales:
Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. in the athletic office.
Thursday, 10 a.m. - noon in the athletic office.
During the school day (10-3 p.m.) you must park in the front turnaround and enter through the main doors and receive a visitors pass from the main office. After 3 p.m., you can park in the back of the building and enter through the canopy doors.
Spirit Bus:
There will be spirit buses for our students who want to attend the state semifinal game in Columbus on Friday. $10 will cover the cost of the bus and the student ticket. Students are required to submit a permission slip to ride the bus. Permission slips are available from Mrs. Fischbach in the principal's office. All bus sign ups must be done by 3 p.m. on Wednesday.The bus will leave promptly at 7 a.m. Friday morning and return after the conclusion of game. We would expect the bus to return between 4 and 5 p.m. on Friday.

Anyone who purchased tickets for the Richmond Heights game at Garfield Heights and got turned away, please return the tickets to Mrs. Naujoks in the athletic's office for a refund.
