VASJ offers online courses through the Diocese of Cleveland

As a Catholic community building 21st Century leaders in the Ursuline and Marianist traditions, Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School is pleased to begin offering online courses in conjunction with the consortium of Diocesan-owned high schools in the Diocese of Cleveland.

This pilot program, coordinated through the Diocese's Office of Catholic Education for the 2010-2011 year, provides one online course offered at each of the six Diocesan-owned high schools. Students at any one of the six schools (VASJ, Lake Catholic, St. Peter Chanel, Holy Name, Cleveland Central Catholic, and Elyria Catholic) can register for these courses.

This complements the broader curricular transformation underway at VASJ to provide students with the skills they need to be competitive in the 21st Century upon graduating. Further information about the online course options is available by viewing the Diocese's brochure here, or by contacting VASJ Principal Dave Csank and Assistant Principal Megan Scheider.

Courses Offered:

Contemporary Affairs (St. Peter Chanel)
Economics (Lake Catholic)
French III (Elyria Catholic)
Holocaust, Genocide: Prejudice and Propaganda (Holy Name)
Office Applications (VASJ)
Personal Finance (Cleveland Central Catholic)
